CEO & Founder
I am a software engineer and lifelong beer enthusiast, and I built Keg Tapped to turn that passion into something bigger—an experience that connects people with great beer and even better communities. The name may have changed from my earlier projects, but the foundation hasn’t. My grandfather came to America chasing the American Dream and built a life from nothing. That drive to create, take risks, and build something meaningful is at the core of everything I do. Keg Tapped isn’t just an app—it’s the next evolution of that legacy.
Dalton Nelson
COO & Business Advisor
Dalton Nelson combines athletic discipline and business strategy to drive Keg Tapped's growth. A former Graceland University football player and active bodybuilder, he brings relentless focus and teamwork to every venture. With years of experience in operations management at one of the largest tech and marketplace companies—where he met founder Josh—Dalton has a proven record in scaling businesses, philanthropy, and building strong, purpose-driven teams.

Might be a lawyer. Definitely an accountant. And without a doubt, part of the Baney family tree — even if the last name doesn't give it away. A proud UT Austin alum (Hook 'em Horns 🤘🏾) and Georgetown Law graduate, Pat brings decades of experience in finance, accounting, and real estate management to Keg Tapped. As CFO, he keeps the books balanced, the numbers honest, and the team funded — ensuring the dream brews as strong as the beer.

🔬Why Rust for Compute?
Our recommendation engine can process millions of calculations per second. Rust gives us memory safety without garbage collection, zero-cost abstractions, and performance comparable to C/C++ — critical for real-time flavor vector comparisons and matrix operations in collaborative filtering. By using Rust for compute-intensive tasks while keeping Go for API services, we achieve the best of both worlds: blazing-fast numerical computation with maintainable, concurrent business logic.
